Sarah (Warman) Morton
I work as a Site Staff in Saskatoon. Alongside my neighbours and team, I enjoy caring for our neighborhoods through hospitality, leadership development, community organizing and spiritual growth.
First coming to Saskatoon as a university student, this has been a place of deep learning for me especially in the intersections of theology and the land, hospitality, colonialism, poverty, power, and my own identity as a white settler woman.
I was compelled to join Servant Partners to continue as a co-learner alongside my neighbours and local leaders as we work towards a community of belonging and holistic wellness together. It’s an honour to be led by the long-standing presence, hope and experience of many local change makers.
I enjoy offering my curiosity and strategic thinking towards catalyzing new initiatives with my neighbours like a tenants organizing group, fitness classes, community clean-ups, and gatherings that respond to the strengths, visions, and needs of the neighborhood.
As a gifted resourcer and nurturer, I love using my networks to discover and share resources within our team and the community like teach-ins, job openings, BBQ lunches, books, or liturgies.
Driven by a passion for bridge-building, I continually seek to engage the larger spiritual community of Saskatoon in conversations of justice & seeking right-relatedness with each other.
By sharing your resources towards our work in Saskatoon’s Westside, you are investing in stories of these neighborhoods that go far beyond the statistics, headlines, and stereotypes that are so often used to limit life in the Westside. Your investment sustains our ongoing commitment to partnering with our neighbours in pursuing the fullness of Christ’s liberation for all.
